Garry Gunter

Garry is a leading expert in Print, New-Media and Print Production Manufacturing, spanning 20 years. While in the UK he worked with Fresh Media Group, one of the true worldwide pioneers of computer retouching, page composition and the fully automated pdf workflow. Working with leading publishers like Haymarket, EMAP, IPC and Hachette - on titles such as FHM, Stuff, Toyota, F1 Racing, Elle, Jaguar and What-Hifi. He worked with Turning Point and Fresh Media on the first renditions of Mistral, (developed by Dalim), combining the Twist automated pdf workflow.

In November of 2005 he moved to Canada, altering a print company that struggled technologically and in production - to winning their first ever print awards for; “Excellence in Print”. (Advancing them technologically with automated workflow, proofing, webstore, digital print, online submission, collaboration and approvals). After joining Contac in 2008, he was significantly influential in building Contac’s print architecture, while also managing all vendor/partner relationships, asset purchases, staffing and installs. As such he grew a company that had no previous print experience or infrastructure, into one being associated with quality, competitive pricing and succinct turnaround times - on a national scale. As Associate VP, he worked directly with clients and partners, solving their print and distribution related problems. He also still worked avidly on R&D; in the print arena – keeping Contac abreast of the ever changing print industry and enabling them to lead the industry rather than to follow. While the services and volumes grew, he has assured Contac of continued, structured and progressive growth.

Garry is very excited to be working for Kodak as their Sales Specialist, Unified Workflow Solutions – within Canada. Returning to the passion he has for workflow, and its unique ability to drive efficiency and cost management through automation, integration and flexibility within print manufacturing.
