Garth Holman

Garth Holman has been teaching middle school social studies, by choice, for the last 18 years. Garth piloted the one to one macbook connected classroom in 2001 and in 2002 the entire school went one to one. Garth is a passion driven constructionist teacher always looking to find innovative ways to engage students with content. In his classes, students are active members in the learning process and they "own the learning" this includes writing their own digital textbook with student made documentaries and music videos. These students are leaving a legacy.

Garth has presented at international, national, state and local conferences and has been interviewed for print, television, and web based stories on education. Garth has also taught for nine years at the University of Akron in the Graduate School of Education.
