Gary Bradley (Austin, TX)
Real Estate Developer in the United States
An accomplished Austin, TX, project manager and developer, Gary Bradley spearheaded the Rob Roy project, at the time the largest suburban environmentally sensitive development in the city. Five years later, Gary Bradley guided development of Circle C, a master-planned community with a golf course and Olympic-size swimming pool. Circle C was completed alongside the MoPac South Expressway, another of Gary Bradley’s projects in the Austin area. The MoPac South holds distinction as being the most quickly developed major highway in Texas and set precedence for public-private partnerships in the state.
As a member of Austin’s planning commission, Mr. Bradley drafted the first contemporary zoning ordinance in the city, the Barton Springs ordinance. Later, he later helped author legislation that increased investment in the state from major corporations.
An avid basketball fan, Mr. Bradley during his free time enjoys shooting hoops with his children Houston, Guy, and Cate. He owned 25 percent of the Houston Rockets NBA franchise from 1984 to 1998, during which time the team enjoyed historic success and won back-to-back championships in 1995 and 1996.
