Hi, I’m Gary. I’m currently a supply teacher living in York Region. Last year, I taught grade 8 homeroom and was fortunate to hand out awards certificates and medals in person during graduation. It was a great experience, despite having to teach online.

I am very experienced at teaching math and science. But English is my new frontier. I want to fine-tune my skills at teaching English because I believe in the power of story telling in providing students with experiences that would not be physically possible. The power of teaching character education through story telling is far more powerful than merely dictating to students the difference between right from wrong. I am also looking forward to find new ways to help students become better writers, to make writing (as well as reading) a more fluid less strenuous experience. I want students to enjoy their experiences in my English classes. True, learning cannot always be fun. But I believe it should be as enjoyable an experience as possible.
