Having been in the staffing and recruitment industry for several years now I know the importance of knowing not only your client’s needs; but knowing the needs and wants of the people that you will be speaking with. Getting to know them not only as employees, but as people, is very important when helping someone decide on their future. I have found that connecting with people on a more personal level is the most effective way to truly discover what someone is looking for in their next career move. Knowing their likes and dislikes, hobbies, and interest; is just important as knowing what types of jobs they are looking for, what motivates them, and where they want to be in 5 years. I have been able to relate to everyone not only on the business level, but on the personal level to help identify the best situations for everyone involved.
