Gary P. Cosgrove

As Associate Vice Chancellor of Operations for Keiser University, based on its main campus in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Gary P. Cosgrove oversees operations on several statewide campuses. One of the state's largest independent career institutions of higher learning, Keiser provides day, evening, and online classes to accommodate the schedules of working students, awarding associate, undergraduate, and postgraduate degrees. Gary P. Cosgrove joined the University after serving as the Campus President of ITT Technical Institute for nearly 20 years. In this capacity, he acted as the award-winning Campus Director of ITT Technical Institute in Lake Mary, Florida. Elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges, he earned ITT Regional Director of the Year honors three times and ITT Director of the Year honors.

Gary P. Cosgrove joined ITT in Indianapolis in 1980 as Director of Personnel for ITT Publishing, where he held responsibility for all personnel matters of three publishing subsidiaries. In his next post, he served as Corporate Director of Human Resources for ITT Employment Training and Systems, Inc. His duties in this role included hiring staff and acquiring equipment and facilities for more than 25 start-up operations across the United States. Subsequently, Cosgrove became Corporate Director of Personnel, Compensation, and Benefits for ITT Educational Services, handling compensation and benefit plans for more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Gary Cosgrove enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, swimming, and playing tennis. Active in the community as well, he has provided board service and acted as President, Vice President, and Treasurer of VSA Florida. Cosgrove also supports animal organizations, including local shelters, Yorkie Friends Rescue Corporation, Spay N Save, Florida Small Dog Rescue Group, and other low-cost spaying and neutering groups. He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a B.S. in Education and completed numerous postgraduate courses at Butler University in Indianapolis.
