Gary Zhou has spent over 15 years building businesses in the technology industry and establishing himself as a successful entrepreneur. He is recognized as a dynamic, hard-charging and results-focused operations, entrepreneur and business development leader with a demonstrated track record of driving leading-edge start-up operations, product management, channel development and strategic partnerships for new companies in the retail and technology sectors. At the age of 13, Gary started and operated a highly successfully online music network including the most popular fan websites dedicated to the hottest musical brands at the time. After finding a successful exit in 2002, Gary founded ION Hosting to provide cost effective, shared hosting services in a UNIX-based LAMP environment and grew his customer base to over 1,500 accounts in 56 countries. Transitioned from ION Hosting to ION-E and launched SaaS products & services for a more competitive clientele; led development of cutting edge Enterprise Framework providing solutions for key real estate & mortgage industry clients allowing for greater control of corporate branding & compliance, recruiting & retention, lead management, centralized content management & distribution, and workflow optimization. Focused marketing and outreach efforts on mid to enterprise level real estate & mortgage companies, enabling clients to manage all their digital assets across the organization.


Currently, Gary is the key advisor to multiple business ventures including Morningside Ventures, Google Ventures, Sovereign Capital Partners, HealthCare Interactive Media, and Tapp Networks. Gary is highly intuitive with deep insight into global market perspectives, cultural diversity factors, go-to-market strategies, and shares a strong passion in helping organizations leverage media & technology to deliver results.
