My name is Gaston Ouedraogo and I am a student of SOAS University of London pursuing Foundation programme. I grew up between France and Africa. I spent my kindergarten in France in the Jules Ferry school, then all my primary school in Burkina Faso at the Saint Exupery school. During my tenure in Burkina Faso at Saint Exupery school, I developed my interest in Basketball. I am a huge fan of LeBron James. It was in secondary school that I discovered my taste for debates and theatre.

In Network Society and Introduction to the Digital age seminar, I learnt about using digital technologies and the development of key digital skills. I studied the basics of information technology and the four major concepts of the digital age are - Social Networks, Social Media, Blogging and Curating Content.

In basic coding, I acquired skills in webpage CV presentation keeping the target audience in mind. I also gain an understanding of how to use CV unformatted file and HTML tags such as HTML <html>…</html>, Head <head>…<head/>, Paragraph: <p>…</p> etc.

Thenceforth, I familiarized myself with video making and editing skills using Adobe Spark. This learning helped me in understanding the importance of digital presence. As a part of grasping knowledge, I learnt how to shoot a CV and hobby video without any filming budget and create audio recording using tools like Audacity.

I gained competency in website making and how the server of the same works. I accomplished insights into the ins-and-outs of the WordPress website such as the process of adding a domain name, how to compose a blog, how to use free stock images etc. in a way so that it can easily be understood to the online audience. Along with that, I obtained knowledge in handling positive or negative comments on my online work.
