Anne Gathoni

Anne Gathoni is a third year student at the University of Nairobi, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Information Engineering . She is a Brand Ambassador at Africa Talentbank.com (ATB), a digital recruitment company that Prepares, Positions and Transitions students from Campus to Corporate Life.

At ATB, Anne is the Events and Logistics Co-ordinator and is a core member of the team whose responsibilities include organising ATB events such Graduate Open Days, Graduate Career Fairs and Entrepreneur Boot Camps, at which key note speakers have included: Bob Collymore (CEO, Safaricom), Marc Engel (CEO, East Africa and Emerging Markets, Unilever), and James Mworia (CEO, Centum Investment) .

Anne was part of an ATB team that partnered with G-United in hosting the highly successful G-United Career Fair (An initiative launched by the Kenyan government), which was held Laico Regency hotel.

Anne has held several leadership roles including, Vice Chairlady of her church youth group and dining hall captain at her high school. On campus, Anne is an active member of the Engineering Students Association which helps organize career talks for engineering students, as well acting as a bridge between students and the corporate world. She is also an aggressive rotaractor, taking part in several volunteer activities such as visiting the children’s cancer ward at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Anne is a tech enthusiast and is a member of the gearbox initiative, whose aim is to provide a platform for African youth to unleash their potential, using the latest tools for design and fabrication, to develop practical solutions for local problems.
