GAURAV CHAWLA
I was born in India, have worked in an Indo-Japanese firm, stayed in Kuwait and I am currently doing my post graduation from Singapore and Dubai (UAE). This multicultural experience of mine enables me to adapt in any global organization. Having done my Mechanical Engineering from one of the top 10 Engineering Schools in India, I have worked for 3years with Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car maker, under strategic projects in Production Division. I have worked on variety of projects involving Strategy development, Global Benchmarking, Operations Management, Capacity planning, Inbound/Outbound Logistics and Theory of Constraints. I am Green Belt Six Sigma trained and have implemented the same at shop floor level. My biggest strength lies in Time Management and Project Coordination as I have done more than 10 projects in a span of 34 months without a single day delay in any of the project and have managed or coordinated with 2-40 people ranging from Diploma Engineers to Department Heads. While doing my MBA, I have done research projects on 'Trends in Logistics and 3PL industry in ASEAN region' and 'Logistics Infrastructure in India' with a Consultancy firm, Singapore and Global Supply Chain Group, Sydney respectively. I have presented at various forums like Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport - Emirates Supply Chain forum on 'Upcoming trends in Logistics and Supply Chain Industry in GCC (Middle East)' Currently I am working as Supply Chain Executive with African & Eastern - a Foster Group company. My interest and passion for Logistics and Supply Chain is what drives me to understand this industry to its Length and Breadth and contribute by taking up challenging tasks in future.
