Gautam Sharma

Gautam Sharma grew up in New Delhi where he completed his schooling from Modern School.He is a commerce graduate from Delhi University, holds a master’s in business administration and an advanced leadership certification from IIM, Ahmedabad.

A natural athlete and sportsperson he went on to to become the national shot put champion and was ranked # 2 in Asia.He also competed at state level in boxing. His time spent on the field and in the ring gave him wider understanding of leadership, team work, value of discipline and winning.

For close to two decades, he has spent time working with some of the well-known names in the media industry. Starting with TV Today Network and then going on to Star TV, Star News, India TV and up until his last position as the National Head & Vice President of ABP News Network.He holds deep domain expertise in sales, strategy, scaling up businesses, creating profitability, managing people and turning around revenue functions.

He has played an important role in the launch of multiple television channels, in different languages, an experience he says was testing but also one of the most rewarding.

He is the chairman of Professional Boxing Organisation of India, a venture that aims to make boxing a self-sustaining commercial sport in India. He also envisioned a platform which amalgamates two of his biggest passions- media and sports; and launched his venture Big Bang Sports& Entertainment.

Natural performer, he has dabbled in theatre and holds a certification in acting. He has also taught as adjunct faculty at various business schools. His favourite topics to speak on are executive communication, sales effectiveness and negotiations.

Gautam Sharma is a fitness enthusiast, and loves to guide people through their fitness dreams. He is passionate about the cause of tiger conservation and when not working, is planning his next trip to the forests to spot the big cat
