Gavin Brown

I'm married to Lori and we have four children. I've been on staff at Flint Hill Baptist Church since 2002 as worship pastor.

3 Roles I have:

1) CHRISTIAN - I have been forgiven of all the wrong I have done, and will ever do. This happened because Jesus Christ took the punishment that belonged to me when he died on a cross. I have believed in Him and have trusted that His actions on my behalf are all that I need to be rescued from darkness and brought into God's marvelous light. A follower of Jesus: this is who I am, first and foremost.

2) HUSBAND & FATHER - Being a husband and father is fantastic but difficult, rewarding but demanding, joyous but not without heartache, but above all, a blessing from the Lord and a great responsibility.

3) PASTOR - Serving the Lord in the local church is a great honor and privilege. Jesus died for His Church, and He will build it. To be part of leading His people is something I'm still not over, and something I pray I'll never get over until my time on earth is done.

Less Important Stuff:

I have a degree in music composition (U. of Mobile) and M.A. in theology (LBTS).
