Gavin Holland

Gavin Holland has been dubbed one of "one of D.C.'s titan DJs" by The Washington Post, and that may just be true. An up-and-coming producer, his remixes and original productions - including tracks released on T&A; Records, Top Billin, and Plant Music - have garnered attention both locally and worldwide. Along with partners in crime Nacey and Steve Starks, Nouveau Riche has been a consistently sweat-drenched, line-around-the-block affair for the past two years, garnering the D.C. City Paper's "Best Dance Night" award in their "Best Of D.C." wrap-up. Their move to U Street Music Hall caused a tidal wave of local press, and the party has far exceeded expectations with their tracks vibrating nearly a thousand skulls 'til the wee hours of the morning. Holland has spun at a truly dizzying array of venues: he has performed at the Hirshhorn Museum's "After Hours" series to a crowd of over 2,600 people, headlined The Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, held down a two-year residency at the world-famous Eighteenth Street Lounge, and performed in large concert venues such as the 9:30 Club and New York City's Webster Hall. He has also shared the stage with artists from around the globe such as Sinden, MSTRKRFT, Soulwax, Miami Horror, So Me, and Lo-Fi-Fnk. A true cultural force in the DC underground, Gavin Holland has only just begun.
