In the 2007 film Across the Universe, deuteragonist and eccentric college dropout Max Carrigan is confronted by his father at a dinner party with the question "What are you going to do with your life?" Max responds in an anti-establishment fashion appropriate to the time saying: "Oh, my god what will he do? Do, do, do, do, do. Why isn't the issue here who I am?" I believe this is a strongly relatable scene to the scared shitless kid inside all of us, and if it isn't, you're probably a sociopath. But I digress. Who am I? What will I do with my life? To be honest I have no clue. I can tell you what I've done though, and who I've been in the past. I was 14 when I was sent to Wilderness Therapy for what my parents described as "unexplainable disobedience", but can be easily explained as the troubled actions of a teenager whose father lived 3000 miles away. I wanted to be a songwriter back then, until I found out I wasn't very good at that. But passion for music is driving, so I found interest in the business side of music, and now study music business, write for a music blog called That Raw Sound, and own an operate my own record label in my spare time.
