Gavin Tollman
Gavin Tollman was born in South Africa in 1963. He studied at The American University in Washington, where he majored in finance; Tollman also trained as a Certified Travel Counselor (CTC). Coming from a family well known in the tourism and hospitality business, Gavin’s career in this industry was almost inevitable.
Gavin took his first steps along the path to success in the hotel industry as executive vice president of the Buckhead Hotel Management Co. In 1997 Gavin Tollman was appointed President of the US branch of Trafalgar Tours which, under his management, became the largest US operator of tours to Europe. This move marked Gavin’s transition from the hotel industry to the travel industry, where he has become an expert in the field. Trafalgar Tours is one of the brands of TTC - The Travel Corporation, owned and operated by the Tollman family. Gavin has held a number of positions in both Trafalgar Tours and TTC in which he has been responsible for all aspects of the company’s activities including sales and marketing of products, and development and delivery of creative new products and destinations for the tourism market.
Concurrent to his position as Trafalgar Tours CEO, Gavin Tollman is the chairman of The Travel Corporation SA. In 2010, TTC held its International Sales Conference in Cape Town, bringing some of the top people in the industry to South Africa. Tollman remains firmly committed to both business and humanitarian causes in his native South Africa. One of the less conventional activities of the conference was a project organized by Tollman in which the conference delegates constructed 21 Wendy Houses for the less fortunate members of local communities.
Geneva, Switzerland is home to Gavin Tollman today.
