Smt. Gayathri Subramanian is an upcoming vocalist in the field of Carnatic music. She is the greatgranddaughter of the prodigious Vaggeyakara Gayakashikhamani Harikesanallur Dr.L Muthayyah Bhagavatar and the granddaughter of Late Sangeetha Ratnam SriNellai T V Krishnamoorthy (principal, Swathi Thirunal College, Trivandrum) whowas a great musician himself. She has been under the tutelage of her mother Dr.K Jayalekshmi (Ret HOD music Dept: Maharajas College, Ernakulam) from the age of5. She has learned Devarnamams from late smt. Chitra Lingam (Bangalore).

Smt. Gayathri Subramanian, who is also a playback singer, has performed in many stages across countries including Qatar , Oman , UAE , Bahrain , Kuwait, South Africa, Botswana to name a few. She has been performing in many stages in Kerala as well.

Sheholds a B grade in devotional music at AIR Trichy. She is awaiting results ofthe audition given for Carnatic music.
