I'm reserved. Even shy. I'm over observant and analytical. I'm a communicator, of course.
I've practiced journalism since my middle school days and it is a knack I continue to develop. I consider myself lucky to know what I wanted to do at merely 12 years old. I'm fluent in AP Style in addition to alternative Communications jargon. I focused in journalism throughout my undergraduate studies and became the Editor-in-Chief of the campus newspaper, leading the publication to its first victory in the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association conference in Overall Excellence. Under my leadership, I developed the publications online presence through the redesign of the interactive site and strong social media presence.
Three years after my undergrad enrollment, I took my strides to Austin to thrive in advertising as a graduate student in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at UT Austin. My main focus is strategy and reviewing trends in consumer behavior, where I feel my journalism roots benefit me. In my second and final year, I show versatility in balancing school and a series of part-time jobs.
