Although I was born in Detroit, I consider St. Louis home. Before I had even graduated from high school I began working at radio station KYMC 89.7 FM. I would go on to spend the next 7 years as on-air talent, music director, program director, and station manager. The love of music and radio production was forever in my blood.
I attended St. Louis University on a scholarship, and after exhausting all of the audio production classes they had to offer, I transfered to Webster University. There, I got to be an audio engineer in the sound studio, and soon discovered the video department. After graduating with a degree in Media/Communications, I dove into the video world - writing, lighting, shooting, and editing training videos and documentaries for a variety of clients, including Reliable Life Insurance, Crane National Vendors, and the YMCA-Intenational. I continued expanding my career in radio as a line producer for the Post Modern Radio Network (I got to interview So Many cool bands!) and as a producer for KUMR, where she produced the show "Brainstorm", which was distributed on National Public Radio.
After my brother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I founded and became the captain of "Team Sirius" - 70 cyclists and crew members who organize events and solicit sponsors for the annual Bike MS bike ride. We launched the Hollywood Party MS Fundraiser, an Oscar-night event on Main Street that attracted more than 200 guests annually.
In 2005, I began working with Pirate Pictures during TIMELINE, as the sound recordist. I went on to produce the award-winning shorts BAG OF TRICKS, LOVE BYTES, & PLAY DEAD, as well as the feature films SHADOWLAND, 23 MINUTES TO SUNRISE, and CONTAMINATION: A CONVENTION STORY. My latest feature film. FOUR COLOR EULOGY will be in theaters summer of 2015.
I have also recently started Pirate Media Group with Wyatt Weed and we are dealing with the daily challenges of film distribution. I lives on Historic Main Street in St. Charles, drive a Mini Cooper, and have a very fat cat named Ivan.
