Gayle Sarapochillo
For over a decade, Gayle Sarapochillo has served as a third-grade elementary school teacher with Liberty Academy Charter School. At the Jersey City school, Sarapochillo teaches language arts, social studies, science, and other subjects based on curriculum approved by the state's Board of Education but utilizing lesson plans tailored toward her students' needs. A believer in inspiring her pupils to be their best, she develops engaging courses that involve computers and creativity. Additionally, Gayle Sarapochillo teaches her classes about coping with stress and about respecting people of different races, cultures, and socioeconomic status.
Before joining Liberty Academy Charter School, Sarapochillo attended William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. The recipient of a bachelor of arts, she majored in elementary education and minored in language arts. Subsequently, she garnered a New Jersey Elementary Education License that certifies her to teach kindergarten through fifth grade.
When not educating students, Gayle Sarapochillo enjoys several pastimes, particularly outdoor activities. On the water, she kayaks, surfs, swims, and sails. She also enjoys skydiving, hiking, and jogging. Moreover, she has traveled to a variety of places, ranging from Switzerland and Canada to Miami and New York City.
