Gustavo Beaklini

Bachelor of Arts, Harp Major by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro under orientation of Professor Wanda Eichbauer, Gustavo Beaklini is currently the Principal Harpist at the Symphonic Orchestra of Theatro da Paz in Belém/PA and has been invited to take his Masters degree in Harp Performance with a Teaching Assistant fellowship at the University of Arizona Tucson/AZ under orientation of Dr. Carrol McLaughlin starting on Fall 2009. As a solo recitalist, Mr. Beaklini has performed in Park City, Phoenix and Tucson United States in addition to various cities through Brazil. In July 2008 he was teaching assistant at the Intensive Summer Camp entitled Arizona Harp Experience, in Salt Lake City/Utah USA. In 2005 Mr. Beaklini has been awarded prizes at the XVI Young Soloists of the Symphonic Orchestra of Porto Alegre Competition and the Soloists of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. In 2006 he was Finalist at the VI National Contest for Young Soloists of the Symphonic Orchestra of Bahia and at the FM MEC Radio Station 3rd Young Talents Competition. In 2008 he was Semi-finalist at the I Music at the Museum Young Musicians Competition, at the Furnas Musical Generation III as a chamber musician and has been invited to participate on Prelude Culture Television Competition (to be held in 2009).
