Gbenga Larayetan

Gbenga Larayetan (middle in black suit), 27 Years, is one of the most dynamic student entrepreneurs in Nigeria; a final year student at the University of Benin, Edo State. He is an ardent business man and passionate agriculturist, despite being a Computer Science and statistics major, Gbenga has carved an awesome niche in Fishery and Aquaculture to create wealth and contribute value to the Nigerian Economy.

With only three (3) years in the Business, Gbenga has moved from starting with N22,000.00 (less than $200) in 2008 to directing the affairs of a growing enterprise worth Millions of Naira. He juggles the responsibility of being a student in the University with running the business with a viable team in the city of Benin.

He has a vision to move on with his business and entrepreneurship voyage by creating new and unique products made from fish and fish derivatives. Gbenga drive is amazing, as a young employer of labour, he has vast experience in marketing of food products and other consumables, speaks three major Nigerian Languages (Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba) and loves football.

This year November, in New York, as 2011 GSEA National Champion, Gbenga will represent Nigeria at the Global finals of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA)
