Gerard Dougher

Boston, MA

Currently, I am working as a Digital Engagement Specialist at Oxfam America, where I manage the organization's targeted advertising campaigns on search, display, and Facebook, with the primary goals of audience acquisition, conversions, and branding. In addition to my advertising work, I also support the organization's digital and marketing research as well as playing an active role in the inclusion of LGBTQI issues within the organization's development work.

My academic background has focused on economic anthropology, public health, development studies, and research/survey methodology. As a Fulbright Research Fellow in Laos, I have written about the economic/social impacts of UNESCO World Heritage Sites (and similar institutions), landscape ecology, legal issues of space. In the less than recent past, I have also consulted on HIV/AIDS research in Bangkok and Laos. I have presented my work at professional and academic conferences in the United States, Canada, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
