Geert Vermeire

Geert Vermeire is a Belgian curator, artist, performer and writer. He is co-founder and MD of the European transdisciplinary art-organisation ‘the Milena principle'. He worked for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ghent where he organized interdisciplinary events in the museum and in the city. As a curator he realized several exhibitions and art projects for museums and cultural institutions in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Greece, Romania, Poland, Spain, England, Portugal and Brasil. He is developing projects and educative activities in collaboration with various European art universities. He forms an artistic duo with Stefaan van Biesen and together with this artist he creates installations, soundscapes, videos and performances integrating poetry with visual arts and sound.
