Gemma Bunning

Who am I? I am another "pom" that moved to the other side of the world......and loving all that New Zealand has to offer! Wellington is now my hometown, and is a city that has brought me great happiness, love, and success.

On a professional front I am a recruitment professional with both New Zealand and International experience, gained within agency and in house environments, and most recently my roles have included Recruitment Manager, Recruitment Team Leader, and Manager HR Projects. I love recruitment, and the opportunity to assist others to have amazing careers.

I am currently winding up a fixed term contract role with Meridian Energy, on 1st July 2013, and currently seeking new opportunities. Whilst with Meridian, I have been focussed on an RFP for a new applicant tracking system, employment brand development, and volume recruitment for the business. My other "in house recruitment roles" in NZ have included Recruitment Team Leader, Senior Recruitment Advisor, and Manager HR Projects - all with Housing New Zealand Corporation (HNZC).

I started my career within recruitment agencies, and spent 6 years working for a number of agencies prior to making the move in-house. I held agency roles in NZ, Australia, and the UK recruiting roles in Engineering, Construction, Public Sector, Marketing, Communications, Tempoary Office Staff, and Industrial Labour Hire.

I am also studying towards a diploma of business studies majoring in Human Resource Management with Massey University.

What do I like to do outside of work? well my time seems to be spent walking dogs, with friends and family, reading, and enjoying the company of my wonderful partner.
