Gemstar a christian hiphop/rnb gospel artist born Reginald D Headen in Roosevelt New York and co-founder of DubPlanet Media his independent label which was founded by Hugh Michael Parsons.
2006 Gemstar began his journey with the basics of pounding the streets of new york with releasing a series of mixed cd's called Streetz Gon Burn Vol 1. Gemstar started to gain exposure with paying promoters to be on shows and open mics from Long Island to New York City. One of his biggest highlights were opening up for Busta Rymes and Papoose during the summer of 2006.

2007 Gemstar continues on spreading his music in North Carolina. He then took his street hustle mentality to another market by setting up multiple locations in different cities of central north carolina. Gemstar sold his merchandise and expanded his brand and then began to book his own shows through networking and recording more music where his next profect recorded was Steetz Gon Burn Vol 2. Gemstar learned the ropes of networking and booking his own shows and networking his music online social media like myspace.

2008 Gemstar moved to florida to be closer to his children. While in florida he continued to book his own shows and continued to network himself. Gemstar kept consistent in front of people at the corners of gas stations, barber shops and night clubs. His partner Hugh Michael Parsons continued the networking online via facebook, youtube, twitter , reverberation, and , itunes, Amazon, CD Baby etc.
