Alexi Genao

Consultant in Bronx, NY

I’m a creative consultant living in the Bronx, where my profitably impeccable taste does daily battle with the shockingly pedestrian imperatives of house-cat husbandry.

In the winding course of my career to date I have learned to leverage rigorous training and multidisciplinary artistic gifts in the achievement of a series of life-long personal and professional goals, which together comprise over two decades of successful creative partnerships both public and private.

I am currently entering a new phase, having begun the process of actively reviewing proposals that might make use of my unique perspective and practical, pragmatic, yet still very renaissance aesthetic. These exciting initiatives in consumer technology (UI design, corporate communications, project management), performing arts (live theater, electronic dance music), and mass media (short-form video, music video, and social media marketing), compete for my attention alongside more familiar projects in commercial literature spaces (development, editing, publishing, marketing, and critique), in which spaces my fledgling solo consultancy first drew notice.

Chief among these exciting projects under consideration is perhaps my greatest creative challenge to date: the completion of yet another decade on this planet without succumbing to the sinister temptation to develop a lively online community wholly concerned with the photogenic bumblings of my three-legged, elderly house-cat Sumo, whose rescue, general contentment, and eternal war against athleticism, dexterity, and grace remain my primary obsessions—as well as more or less my only reliable source of even remotely universal acclaim.

The consequences are potentially catastrophic for my brand, which is why I have vowed to continue my steadfast refusal to capitulate to any such alluring self-indulgence for as long as I am able.

And as far as that goes, while I am obviously unable to offer any guarantees…

So far, so good.
