I'm an experienced educational technology consultant, trainer, administrator, and teacher. I relentlessly pursue practical, useful technology resources to enhance student learning anytime and anywhere, so students can to do things they never imagined possible.
I currently spend considerable time developing high quality, impactful online and blended learning solutions.
I work with educators to develop a learning environment with awesome pedagogy supported by effective technology. That environment empowers and enables students to learn more deeply.
Previously, I was an Educational Technologist, responsible for teacher training to integrate 1:1 iPads into the curriculum. I also served as Director of Professional Development.
I was a PK-8 administrator responsible for educational technology and 21st century learning. I successfully led one of the first 1:1 Chromebook implementations in California.
I was a middle school Social Studies and English teacher for 13 years.
I co-author the Communicate..Create..Edtech blog, which explores opportunities to support student learning with useful ed tech tools.
I have trained hundreds of teachers on a wide variety of classroom tech integration topics. I provide professional development training through the Krause Center for Innovation, the EdTech Team and other organizations.
In 2014, I was a recipient of EdTechDigest's Leadership Award.
I recently completed my Master of Educational Technology degree with Boise State University.
I have also mentored edtech startups with the Intel Education Accelerator and other organizations.
In my spare time, I race cars. I also like to garden, improve my photography skills, and hang out with my dog Maggie.
