Genny Marcoux

I run infrastructure and security operations for large-scale technical training, overseeing 8,000+ lab environments delivered weekly across a globally distributed hybrid environment. I lead a cross-regional team and manage a $2M+ annual budget, with responsibility spanning capacity planning, infrastructure operations, security, and full-lifecycle procurement across 25+ international vendors.

My work has always sat at the intersection of systems, people, and money. Managing budgets, procurement, vendors, forecasting, and executive-level reporting is also what sparked my growing interest in accounting and bookkeeping.

Alongside my full-time role, I work as a fractional bookkeeper and volunteer my accounting skills with two nonprofit organizations. For one, I help maintain the organization's books and financial records; for the other, I help prepare tax returns for its clients.

I'm a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and Level 2 Xero Certified Professional, and I'm currently completing an Accounting Technician & Bookkeeping Certificate at Okanagan College. I enjoy bringing the same structure, accuracy, and problem-solving mindset I use in infrastructure operations to financial records and bookkeeping.

I'm bilingual in French and English and comfortable working across distributed teams, organizations, and vendors.
