I'm a Southern girl currently living in Christchurch where I'm the one and only features writer for the Christchurch Mail community newspaper. I also write on a freelance basis for NZ House & Garden magazine, and Hazed - an indie design magazine published in Christchurch, for which I am also sub-editor. When I’m not working I enjoy designing my own wood and clay jewellery range, selling them on Felt.co.nz under my 'retroroom' name. Voluteer work is also important to me: currently, I am on the committee of, and am the media liaison and proof checker for the Alliance Francaise de Christchurch (AF). The AF publishes an online Gazette magazine each month for its members. I also host an animal welfare Facebook site called The Pod, which is an awareness page educating the public on the plight of this country's Maui's and Hector's dolphins. I am an avid fan of NZ-made products which have an environmental edginess to their design, and love to meet interesting people along my way.
