Ho Chi Minh city
Robbery happens, criminals and gangsters roaming across the streets. Clearly the criminals on street are acting in absolutely ruthless and daring manners and the city police force seems to be insufficient in both strength and human resources to deal with the issues
The objective of the project is to reduce the street crime rate with direct offense measures; however it is eventually more crucial in building a sense of trust between police officers and citizen. As the city is adapting the 141 anti crime task force model from Hanoi, the project aims to associate and communicate with the citizens about the new force.
The campaign aims to find and encourage citizens to register into a program in which they will have a GPS tracking application installed in the mobile phone or given a PDA with the same technology. The purpose is to activate the beacon signal in 1 shot button when spotting/witnessing a street crime. The system will send the coordinates and anticipated/ intercept course to nearby 141 squads.
By this simple step, citizens now can easily cooperate and communicate with the police to prevent street crimes in a less risky and more effective way.
