Genuinely Twisted is an idea that was made real in May of 2012. As a student of the arms and armaments of the early dark ages to the renaissance owner and designer Kevin Watters was asked if he could take his hobby of creating chainmail armor in a different direction. Although many jewelry websites and stores exist the thought to make it with a personal touch was intriguing and produced the idea of one of a kind item made for the customer by incorporating their ideas. First the company needed to get out there and the quality of workmanship needed to be known and so began the line of items you see on the site now.

Kevin and his fiancé have designed and produced many pieces of costume jewelry that were bought on a local level to expand a local customer base and get a feel for the market of the items to come. His study of chainmail and his imagination pulls him in the direction of that particular style while he explores different ways to work new styles into his creations. This custom way of creation will be, in the future, including custom cut gems to be incorporated into this custom work giving the customer the ability to have a one of a kind piece that they helped design.

In His Own Words:

After working with chainmail armor for ten plus years and researching the time periods in which it was used I was asked if jewelry could be made from the weaves I was working with. That along with my ability to mentally break down pieces I had seen gave me the idea that perhaps I could build on the customers wants instead of mass producing pieces that looked like everything else on the market. Thus began this genuinely twisted idea of truly custom jewelry.
