Born and raised in Canada, I have seen my share of brutal winters. Like every good Canadian kid, I love hockey, but a sport that I love even more than hockey is the great game of curling. There’s something strangely fun about hanging out with three other guys wearing goofy pants.
When I’m not on the ice, you can find me with my Newtonian telescope looking up at the sky. Unfortunately, living in such a big city, light pollution blocks out most of the best deep space targets. Nevertheless, it is still truly amazing to see Saturn’s rings or try and photograph Jupiter’s moons.
I work in the field of investment management. This suits me because I'm someone who is relentlessly curious. I never want to stop asking “why?” Just because “it ain’t broke” doesn’t mean we shouldn’t improve it. In finance, as in sport, a strategy only works until your competition adapts. If you succumb to the easier dollar you will always find yourself to be the sheep rather than the shepherd.
