Geoff Cook is the lead partner on marketing and brand strategy for Base. Working from New York, Geoff also oversees all external affairs for the company including large-scale business development and global public relations.
He partnered with Base in 1998 to open the New York studio, one of the company's four studios. Previous stints as head of International Menswear for DKNY and with fragrance firm Firmenich provided Geoff a solid foundation in the business of fashion and beauty that he has built on in leading the New York studio through work with such clients as MoMA, L’Oréal, Le Pain Quotidien, Spin, Gagosian Gallery, Neuehouse, Milk, Puma, Fred Segal Beauty, and Kiki de Montparnasse. With an international perspective and a proficiency in four languages, Geoff has been integral to the continued expansion of Base’s international reach.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Museum of the Arts, Geoff is a regular speaker at top business schools and conferences including Digital October and the NYU Hospitality Conference. He is also a mentor-in-residence at the renowned tech accelerator program TechStars, and a contributor to Fast Co.Design and PSFK. He serves on the boards of advisors of Pilot Fiber, Placemeter, Social Sign-In and Crest & Co.
