Hello! I'm Geoff!

I'm a current resident of Portland, OR. I recently acquired my degree in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS, QGIS, ESRI stuff) from Portland State University. Why Geography you ask (most people do)? Because I believe it has valuable applications in almost every field regardless of what I end up doing. Being able to spatially analyze situations and come upwith diverse solutions is incredibly important these days.

I'm currently spending a year serving with AmeriCorps VISTA doing economic/community development for Alberta Main Street in NE Portland. After that, I feel like it's time to join the real world.

I'm a bit of an all around guy. I can write (founder of Stumptown Footy, Willamette Week beat writer), and can lead projects and market them (Brooklyn Castle), I've worked with non-profits doing grant writing and volunteer management (Alberta Main Street), and I'm fairly tech savvy having programmed in Python (primarily for GIS) as well as Javascript, CSS, and some of the other more minor languages. I'm always willing and wanting to learn new things and expand on what I currently know.
