Geoffrey Helton

Ephrata, WA

I was ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church June of 2012 and have served since July of 2009 as pastor of the United Methodist Church of Ephrata. I live in Ephrata, WA with my wife Meagan (who is pursuing ordination in the Presbyterian Church USA) and daughter Elizabeth.

I have B.A. in Religion from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ and a Th.M. from Princeton Thrological Seminary.

I was born in Oceanside, CA but spent most of my formative years growing up in Kennewick, WA. I love music and play djembe, drumkit, and other percussion instruments. I love to play ultimate Frisbee and enjoy a good board game with friends.

My ministry passions are for authentic worship, bible study (especially the Old Testament), ancient aanguages (Greek, Hebrew and several others), effective church communications, ministry with youth and young adults, and creating connection with community.
