Geoffrey Zoeller
In his seven years as superintendent of Westwood Regional School District in New Jersey, Geoffrey Zoeller served as the chief school administrator for a district that includes more than 2,800 students and 400 educators and support staff. Overseeing an annual budget of more than $50 million, Geoffrey Zoeller directed an overhaul of the district’s instructional programming, which resulted in significant increases in achievement scores. He also helped pass a $16.7 million referendum and oversaw renovations to numerous buildings and athletic facilities throughout the district.
Prior to coming to Westwood, Dr. Zoeller was the assistant superintendent of Salem County Vocational Technical Schools in Mannington, where he headed the human resources department and oversaw all areas of curriculum development. Earlier in his career, he founded the 300-student Magnet High School within Union County Vocational-Technical Schools, personally hiring all faculty and developing the school’s curriculum.
Geoffrey Zoeller’s professional success has its foundations in a strong academic background. He holds an Ed.D. in curriculum theory and development from Rutgers University, where his dissertation was entitled “The Censor, the Computer, and the Textbook.” Dr. Zoeller also holds a B.A. in biochemistry and music theory and composition, as well as an M.A. in musicology and an M.A. in supervision and administration.
