Dr. George Commons, Medical Director of the Palo Alto Center for Plastic Surgery in Palo Alto, California, has several decades of experience practicing medicine and performing plastic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Commons remains an active member of the medical community, giving lectures, publishing articles, and conducting important medical research. Dr. Commons has been invited to lecture on plastic surgery to medical conferences and symposiums throughout the United States; additionally, he has given presentations to the Santa Fe Breast Surgery & Body Contour Symposium, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. George Commons has also conducted medical research on a variety of topics, including treating malignant melanoma cases, post-operative nerve conduction, cleft lips, and cleft palates.

Dr. George Commons has been published in numerous medical journals, manuals, and academic textbooks, such as the British Journal of Plastic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Clinics in Plastic Surgery. He has also contributed to academic textbooks and manuals, including Seminars in Plastic Surgery, the Anesthesiologist's Manual of Surgical Procedures, and Simplified Facial Rejuvenation.

Dr. Commons holds membership in several professional societies, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Santa Clara County Medical Association, and the Association of Military Plastic Surgeons. Additionally, he has been featured in several clinical-education training videos. While managing his medical practice, Dr. Commons also works as an Associate Professor at Stanford Hospital & Clinics in Stanford, California, where he is responsible for instructing seventh-year chief residents in plastic surgery.
