I am a programmer interested in inventing things.

I have professional interests in software and technical architecture, design, implementation and rollout of infrastructure and services associated with the cloud, and mobile technology.

Currently a senior engineer at Revolution Analytics. Previously held roles as a research engineer in HP Labs Singapore, senior developer at Platform Computing Inc., and open-source maintainer in the Project Kusu core team. Project Kusu was also adapted by Univa to form their Unicluster offering.

I architected and developed the "MobileVisLab" software for the National University of Singapore(NUS), a system that allows remote access to the university's modeling and visualization resources. This system helped the NUS Supercomputing and Visualization Unit(SVU) win a Merit award at the NUS Quality Service Day 2007/2008, and is still in use today.

I was on the winning team in code::xtremeapps::2009, a nationwide programming competition where our team developed a mobile Augmented Reality application framework in the space of 24-hours.

I joined the same competition in 2011 and 2012 with different teams, and reached the finals for both years using technologies such as Android OpenCV, Kinect, D3.js.
