George Kalivretenos

University of Maryland alumnus George Kalivretenos graduated with a degree in Business in 1977. After earning his undergraduate degree, George Kalivretenos pursued a professional career in construction and homebuilding. He honed his skills as an expert in housing and land development and continues to expand on his knowledge, attending numerous seminars focusing on the homebuilding industry. Additionally, George Kalivretenos also contributes to the industry community by teaching various workshops on construction and marketing to other professionals.
In 1987, George Kalivretenos began his career in homebuilding at Rylea Homes, Inc., in Virginia. As Division President, George Kalivretenos handled land acquisitions for building projects and oversaw all aspects of construction and marketing. He also managed the finances and administrative duties for the Virginia division. In 1989, George Kalivretenos left Rylea Homes, Inc., and joined Sequoia Building Corporation as Division President. He headed the company’s new home division and facilitated company operations in Maryland and Virginia.
George Kalivretenos contributed to the company’s growth from 1989 to 1991 when he handled budgeting, investments, and additional projects. In addition to managing residential and commercial projects from start to finish, George Kalivretenos also oversaw numerous company departments.
