Volunteer and Project Manager in Williamsburg Brooklyn
Hello everyone, I'm George Luis Espada, originally from the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Growing up in the drug-infested south side of Williamsburg prompted my mother to make a pivotal decision—to relocate us to Rincon, Puerto Rico, where I spent my formative years. It was there, amidst the vibrant culture and tight-knit community, that I learned the true meaning of love and compassion.
In Rincon, I discovered the power of volunteering and giving back to the local community. Those early experiences shaped me into the person I am today, instilling in me a deep sense of empathy and a desire to make a positive impact wherever I go.
Now in my 50s, I've returned to Williamsburg with a renewed sense of purpose. Dedicated to pouring out the same love and compassion that I received in Rincon, I commit my time and energy to serving my community here in Williamsburg. It's a journey rooted in gratitude for the lessons learned and a passion for making a difference in the lives of those around me.
