George L Espada
Volunteer and Project Manager in Williamsburg Brooklyn
George Luis Espada
Born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, George Luis Espada is a proud community advocate dedicated to strengthening connections and spreading compassion wherever he goes. Growing up on the south side during challenging times shaped his resilience and heart for service. When his mother relocated the family to Rincon, Puerto Rico, George discovered the true meaning of love, community, and giving back values that continue to guide his life today.
Now back in Williamsburg, George devotes his time to uplifting his neighborhood and fostering unity through empathy and action. He proudly serves on the Board of the Detective Rafael Ramos Foundation, honoring Detective Ramos’s legacy by helping bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community through mentorship, outreach, and dialogue.
George also sits on the Board of Toys of Hope American Giving Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing toys, clothing, and essential resources to families in need, bringing joy and hope to children across the country.
As Organizer and Community Liaison for Toñita’s Fest, George celebrates Brooklyn’s vibrant culture by connecting people through music, art, and community pride. His work continues to highlight the power of compassion, reminding others that even small acts of kindness can create lasting change.
Every effort George undertakes is driven by his belief that love, understanding, and service can transform communities one person, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.
