George L Espada
Father and Volunteer in New York City
George Luis Espada is a Williamsburg, Brooklyn community advocate whose life has been dedicated to service, compassion, and bringing people together. With deep roots in both Williamsburg and Rincón, Puerto Rico, George works to strengthen relationships among community organizations, local businesses, government, law enforcement, and families in need.
He serves as a Board Member and Community Liaison with the Detective Rafael Ramos Foundation, supports Toys of Hope – American Giving Project, and has played an instrumental role in bringing Toñita Fest to life while helping preserve the cultural legacy of Toñita’s Caribbean Social Club.
George’s community service has been formally recognized by Congresswoman Nydia M. Velázquez in the Congressional Record of the U.S. House of Representatives and by New York State Senator Julia Salazar through a New York State Senate Proclamation.
A devoted father of four, George believes meaningful community leadership begins with compassion, trust, and simply showing up for others.
