George Rose

I work with web services, SOA, and database architecture. I am fascinated with performance engineering , analyzing the technology stack from the network layers to the operating system to the database. I am always looking for better ways to understand where applications are spending their time, and how to track the behavior of middleware containers and persistence layer databases and the messages and data that travel between them.

I am currently working on a healthcare IT project, as a database engineer looking at infrastructure, performance and deployments.

I also play guitar. We have a 'house band' at our current project; we might be the only band to play Comfortably Numb, Layla, Roadhouse Blues ,Horse With No Name, and Secret Agent Man in one set. I am learning classical technique and music theory too. I am interested in most types of music but I love jazz and classical.
