George Segrest

Consultant and Father in Jersey City, New Jersey

George Segrest is a senior level technology sales and account management executive and a prolific generator of new revenue streams.

With fifteen years of experience selling to enterprise and mid-sized accounts, he exceeds quota while originating new methodologies and product/service ideas that become profitable business lines for his employer.

After graduating with a business degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Texas in 2007, Segrest joined Rackspace Hosting, Inc., a managed hosting company, where he was given his choice of a either sales or a technology role due to his equally strong skills in both fields. Choosing sales, he progressed rapidly through the sales ranks at Rackspace, Segrest was promoted to Strategic Account Executive in 2011 and ultimately managed twelve of the company’s largest, most complex clients. Consistently ranking in the “Top 5” in total revenue attainment company-wide, he won Sales Representative of the Year and President’s Club.

Having found his niche, Segrest spent 10 years with Rackspace putting together large enterprise deals, growing strategic accounts, and partnering with the product management function to create new value for the company. These game-changing solutions included a service that laid the groundwork for Rackspace’s fastest growing and most profitable division while helping to keep the business relevant in a rapidly changing and highly competitive market space.

In 2016, Segrest was recruited to AllClear ID as New Business Executive where he seamlessly transitioned from sales of managed cloud services to selling a first-in-industry cybersecurity offering to Fortune 500 companies in the Northeastern United States. Spotting an untapped market, he once again spearheaded a new service with substantial predictable revenue potential.

Segrest credits his success to thoroughly understanding his customers’ businesses, fanatical customer support, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on customers’ bottom lines as a consultative partner and problem solver. A former programmer since the age of eight, he understands the underlying technologies and can easily converse with CIOs/CTOs, engineering and product management.

In addition to his new business development and account management experience, Segrest held a management role at Office Depot and is co-owner of a spa he and his wife launched where he manages the business and financial operations.
