If I have to get down and dirty to get the perfect shot or the perfect story, I will.
Photography and writing are my passions, and have been since high school. I've been taking pictures of people and writing stories about their lives ever since I spent my entire paycheck on a broken Kodak camera in '04 just to take photos of the devastation Hurricane Charley caused in my neighborhood. Even then, people were eager to tell a young kid like me stories about how they lost everything. That's when it clicked. There was something about telling a persons story using words and art that was addictive. Hence, why I'm a journalism major.
Currently, I do freelance work to build my own personal portfolio as well as working as the Outreach Editor with Eagle News, FGCU's campus newspaper. I am also working on my bachelors degree at FGCU and working as a manager at the Loft Outlet in Miromar. I love my work, but I'm looking to expand on my skills. I strongly believe in broadening my horizons so I'm open to any opportunities that allow me to show off my work. I'm also open to journalistic internships as well as photography opportunities.
