Georgia Charalambous
yoga teacher and Wellness Advocate in Barcelona, Spain
I have always been into fitness and well being. As a young girl, I was in every after school sports club my school offered and anything else I could think of that my school didn’t offer!
Somewhere along the line, I lost touch with this passion. Friendships and hanging out drinking took over and became much more important, and fitness took a back seat for a few years.
In my early 20's, working a busy city schedule in central London, I once again found solace in exercise.
I tried every kind of fitness class you could imagine. Spinning, boxing, pilates, all kinds of dance. And I still do enjoy exploring new ways to utilise my mind and body with exercise. But the only one that has stayed with me from my years prospecting, is Yoga.
In 2018, my partner and I decided to move back to his hometown of Barcelona. After leaving the commotion of ‘9am- 5pm London office’ life, the idea of strolling into a similar avenue here seemed counterintuitive for my life right now. I don’t know if it was being close to the ocean or the beauty of Barcelona, but something inspired me to change my path and apply the knowledge I’ve acquired to become a yoga teacher.
After a lot of self deliberation and doubt, I signed myself up to a Yoga Teach Training Program in Barcelona. And now here we are. Yoga changed my life. And I strongly believe it can change yours.
I knew yoga had changed my energy levels, my attitude towards life and my health. With that, I now hope to inspire others to try new things and lead longer, more fulfilled lives.
