Georgiana Comsa
Consultant and Small Business Owner in Palo Alto, California
With a lifelong passion for words, a journalism background, as well as both marketing and computer science degrees, I found tech PR to be the perfect fit for my background and interests. I have 25 years of experience in high-tech public relations and marketing communications, and I founded Silicon Valley PR in 2005 based on my own experience as a corporate PR professional when I realized that there was a huge need for PR specialists rather than general high-tech firms. For the past 20 years, my PR expertise has been in data infrastructure, and that is exactly where Silicon Valley PR's focus continues to be to this day.
Combining my business and tech media relationships with a special interest in social media and the way it has changed the PR profession, I help my clients reach industry editors, bloggers, and analysts, who, through their articles, blog posts, and other social media interactions, influence IT users’ purchase decisions.
In 2009, during the early social media days, Wikibon named me a top storage professional to follow on Twitter. I was also named a Top 10 Tech Communicator by PRSourceCode in 2010 and 2013. Since then, on top of my daily job with Silicon Valley PR supporting various clients, I have had the opportunity to share my stories and expertise by providing PR training to worldwide startup accelerators, an experience I truly enjoyed.
