Georgina Gabor, PhD
educator and researcher in Switzerland
I am a Geneva-based educator and researcher with experience across primary, secondary, adult, and teacher education contexts. Throughout my career, I have worked with linguistically diverse learners, students with specific learning differences including dyslexia and dyscalculia, as well as pre-service and in-service teachers.
My work is grounded in a strong commitment to evidence-informed practice and the translation of educational research into demonstrable student progress. I focus particularly on the design and evaluation of instructional approaches that strengthen foundational skills, enhance reading fluency, and improve deep text comprehension. My doctoral research at the University of Geneva examined the effects of various explicit, highly structured instructional strategies that targeted decoding, spelling, and text comprehension in the primary years.
In parallel, as a Whole Food Plant-Based nutrition professional certified by the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and Cornell University, I explore the emerging intersection between nutrition science, cognitive development, and learning performance. My work aims to bridge research, pedagogy, and wellbeing through integrative, data-informed, and learner-centred educational innovation.
