Georgina is Deputy Director for the Communications & Education Directorate at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She also sits on JPL's Executive Council.
She was former Vice President of Communications and Marketing for Boeing. She oversaw the design, build and delivery of brand and communications strategies, leveraging strategic channel and content expertise to shape where and how Boeing showed up and engaged across paid, earned and owned media. Her remit covers Campaign Planning & Activation, Advertising & Sponsorships, Boeing's Content Studio & Historical Services, Boeing Stores & Tours and Tools & Technology; the latter responsible for the evolution of marketing communications technologies including the company's 1st-party data strategy.
Before her transition to the States, she was former advisor on digital engagement strategy to UK government and 10 Downing Street. Her role in the UK's internationally acclaimed Government Digital Service (a team within Cabinet Office tasked with transforming UK government services) included digital strategy, content, risk management, channel operations and building digital skills across the UK civil service.
She's a spokesperson for best practice digital engagement strategy as part of wider business transformation which includes advising a number of international governments, banks and energy companies; plus is author of HM Government’s Social Media Playbook.
Prior to joining the Government, Georgina was Associate Director at marketing agency Kindred. There she established the agency's award-winning social media division for clients including The National Lottery, IKEA and ‘make mine Milk’. She has over +18 years’ experience in PR and marketing, across both public and private sectors.
She was one of the early members and mentors of Bloom - a London-based networking group for women in the communications industry. She continues to push the agenda of encouraging more women into digital and technology roles; was VP of Policy & Engagement for Boeing's Women Inspiring Leadership Group and Board Advisor to mBolden, Chicago.
