An accomplished Facial surgeon with over 30 years of practice in Vancouver and Richmond, British Columbia, Gerald Wittenberg, MD, earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of British Columbia. While there, he earned the prestigious Gold Medal award from the university for his exceptional academic achievement, maintaining the designation as top student in his class for four consecutive years. Dr. Gerald Wittenberg then acquired a Master of Science in Anatomy and Physiology from the University of Minnesota, with a Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.

Today, at his private practice in Vancouver, British Columbia, Gerald Wittenberg, DMD, specializes in facial bone and soft tissue procedures for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. The doctor’s meticulous attention to detail and record of outstanding patient satisfaction have earned him recognition for quality, compassionate care. Outside of his practice, Gerald Wittenberg, DMD, has contributed to the surgical profession through positions as chairman, examiner, consultant, and president of numerous surgical industry organizations. Among his many appointments, he functioned as President of the British Columbia (BC) Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Head of the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the BC Children’s Hospital, and Consultant to the Cancer Control Agency of BC. A distinguished public speaker, Dr. Gerald Wittenberg has presented for national and international institutions, and written articles for several medical journals and textbooks.
