I judge people on how they treat me, not on whether they own a new Porche, express the correct ideas or have a sexy gaze. I work in New York as a college teacher and a psychoanalyst. I have authored 13 books on psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, 4 novels, a book of poems and drawings, and a translation of Taoism. I live in the Poconos of Pennsylvania with my wife, Julia, and my parrot, Lucky. I like the quiet times in Pennsylvania, fishing, playing golf and tennis, writing books and blogs, and more recently creating video poems. I have written 21 screenplays, some of which have won awards at festivals, and I have made three movies, producing, directing, writing and composing the musical score for them.
