Gerald Grauert

Gerald Grauert recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Programming from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Gerald Grauert’s website at JersNetwork.com showcases his varied programming skills in such languages as C++, an object-oriented multiplatform language useful for general purpose programming, as well as HTML and CSS, the basic structures for website building. To practice programming with sockets and LAMP solution stacks, Gerald Grauert runs Linux-based operating systems on three machines: two running Debian and one running Slackware. All three computers have a Windows XP guest running in Sun Virtualbox virtualization in which Mr. Grauert can program in Microsoft Visual Studio. Providing a more in-depth example of his skill set, Gerald Grauert provides links on his website to display his interactive programming skills, creating an online Blackjack game, as well as an example of an online shopping cart. To show his successful background in implementing and maintaining TCP/IP, Gerald Grauert included a link showcasing his socket development. Knowledgeable in the iterative process of the software development life cycle, Gerald Grauert is comfortable making design modifications and adding new functional capabilities as needed. A devoted reader of programming texts, Gerald Grauert enjoys books by W. Richard Stevens and technical books published by Addison-Wesley. Previously a member of Kutztown University’s Linux User’s Group (KLUG), Gerald Grauert provided a valuable community service, helping students and residents with their computer needs. An outdoor enthusiast, Gerald Grauert spends his free time fishing and camping and enjoys programs like Man vs. Wild on Discovery Channel.
